Potion23 is heavily influenced by the impeccable elegance of the 1930s and '40s, and the sumptuous, body-skimming silhouettes that defined the era. Potion23 revives the art deco magic of these historical styles and rejuvenates them with playful modern prints and bespoke hand-embroidery for a truly individual flair. Each design is an heirloom of the future, rediscovering the path of slow-fashion and the pursuit of quality, locality and sustainability.
The Designer:
Victoria Cates, born and raised in New York, earned her Fashion Design degree in Los Angeles and is now based in beautiful Saint Louis. Victoria, aka Tori, worked in all levels of the fashion industry from design to retail to wholesale to manufacturing. Channeling all her experience, her love for vintage fashion, and her passion for art and history has led to the birth of her own fashion line - Potion23. Tori is driven to create by her desire for wearable silhouettes and unique prints, and her very, very, particular taste.
