The Designer:
Victoria Cates is a fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist who weaves enchantment into all her designs. Hailing from the vibrant city of New York, she now calls Saint Louis her home. With a degree in Fashion Design from Los Angeles, she further honed her craft by earning a Haute Couture Embroidery certificate from the prestigious Hand & Lock of London. She has shown her artwork in New York, Los Angeles and Boston galleries, and runway collections in Miami, Kansas City and Omaha.
But who is Victoria, you may ask? Well, professionally she goes by Victoria, but to her close friends and admirers, she's known as Tori. Embodying the duality of a true Gemini, Victoria and Tori are like two different beings residing within her. Victoria represents the illustrious artist, well-versed in the realms of design, embroidery, and illustration. On the other hand, Tori is the playful, animal-loving, and childlike spirit of nature who can be found twirling joyfully in a ballgown while sharing outrageous stories. Together, her two selves create this awe-inspiring autobiographical clothing brand called Potion23. Her aesthetic is a mesmerizing fusion of natural magic and unrestrained celebration of beauty and ornamentation. For Victoria, more is always more.
